Emancipation, Not Quite.

Thursday, April 28th, 2005

Breathe in and clear your thoughts. Gather all the agony that’s crushing your heart, muster all the agony that’s slowly killing your sanity.

Exhale.

    Breathe out.

           … But don’t let go.

                      FEEL.

                     You’re not okay.

Frenetic - Frenzied and Frantic

Tuesday, April 26th, 2005

You think you’ve got a bad day?  I’ve been through hell and harry the past 48 hours, and there’s no other way I’d spend my Wednesday than to sit in front of the computer, or sleep all day.

PART I: APRIL 25 My Series of Unfortunate Events

- 11:00am.Went to the hospital clinic. Had to lie to my dad. (that drew all the strength I had, mind you. It’s not easy for me to tell tall tales.)

- Went to Tim’s place to kill 2 hours.

- Went to UST.

- Took a cab to go back to the hospital clinic. (I found out later that I could’ve taken a jeep for only Php.7.00! Insane! Gah!)

- Turns out the cab was an Airport Service Taxi (b*llsh*t! It looked like a broken down, piece of sh*t to me!). I paid Php.300.00 (for the distance of a few blocks away from UST), and got stranded in the middle of nowhere. I had no money left, (impossible to pay for the hospital) I had no load, and I was tired.

- Still took a cab to Rye’s place and prayed to all gods that she had money to pay for my fair.

- Turns out she did, and was going through a bad day herself. Lent me money for a taxi ride.

- Got home. Lied some more.

- Hannah gave me a call and said she was gonna drop by. Haha, well you can guess what happened. She left at around 11:00pm, and I didn’t get that much rest I wanted, but what the hey. Her company made me forget the sh*t I went through that day.

-Check out time? 2:30 a.m.

PART II: APRIL 26 From Point A to B… to C… to D…

-11am, back at school. Met up with Rye to settle a lot of things.

- Went back to the hospital clinic and after almost two hours of waiting, we ditched it.

- Went to UST. More things to settle.

- Went to SACI. Few things left to settle. Imagine commuting (commuting! commuting, I say!) the WHOLE DAY under the blistering heat of the sun, with extremely tired and exposed feel.

- Killed time in KFC (ah, a/c!), ate REAL food. Met up with Ernest (for a lil while). Tim and Sylvette picked us up and went to Gonz’s place.

- Proceeded to Brothers Burger for MORE REAL food.

- Sigh.

- There was never a time when I totally valued money and flipflops until that day.

Reawakening

*smiles into space*

I’ve been sitting here thinking of a good introduction for what happened last night, but after pondering in vain, it dawned to me that I just couldn’t. Stories have introductions because somehow, the writer knows where the story will go. Last night was a start of a new beginning, and we are both clueless as to how our ending will be. We’re barely on the second chapter.

It was a Cinderella story, really, but I didn’t come to my Prince Charming. He picked me up at my house, and we went to the mall where we had a very heavy dinner first, and proceeded to watch Guess Who.

He brought me back home before midnight, just what a character named Daddy said. We kissed and caused traffic in our street (haha), but who cares? This is our reawakening…

And the ugly past is behind us for good.

So What’s the Craziest Thing You’ve Done Lately?

An Account of the Previous Night

10:00p.m.

Tim dropped us (me, Andy and Fatso) off at Eastwood for a little Singles Night Out gimmick. I tagged along, hoping I could get rid of those clinging troubles and worries that had not gone away. With one swift kiss on the lips, Tim and I parted with an unspoken notion that we will see each other again after a couple of hours.

10:45p.m.

After a very late dinner at the ever reliable McDonald’s (which is a lot cheaper than those overpriced meals served at the bars) the three members of YB decided to kill some time at the mall, driving around, waving their arms above and below red and blue circular er.. (for lack of a better term) thingies and hitting what seemed to be a drumpad to the tune of Born to Be Wild.  (Damn, should have seen that one coming.)

11:30p.m.

At the sudden realization of time, we ran to the Basement and after a loooong time waiting, I guess you could say we all got what we came for that night.

1:00a.m.

Got a cab and went straight to Tim’s place for a swimming-inuman party. Tim was already pretty drunk when he answered the door, as well as Rye… and Gonz. We decided to catch up with them, and before long, everyone each had their own story to tell, their own story to hide, and their own story to remember.

5:00a.m.

*shakes head* I don’t think I’ll be handling any bottles of gin any time soon.

A Chance, or a Gamble?

When a grave mistake is committed, the kind of mistake that grabs hold of your heart and stops your breathing for a good 20 seconds, is it only fair to forgive and forget?

We’ve all been through this, and sadly, these are the things that we just can’t undo with one snap of our fingers. Sure we all regret it in the end, but what about before the actual act? And during? Are we the same person, conscious of the act, yet totally unaware that what we are doing is wrong? Or is it one of those moments when our brain stops working, our emotion shuts down, and all that’s left moving is our bodies, heartless and mindless…?

Everyone deserves a second chance. But the pain has gone past unbearable and has now numbed my senses.

Ennui

Wow, very impressive.

*nods head*

Seems like Friendster has a couple of ideas to make them stay on the number one position on the When You’re Bored List. (Number two for me would have to be going out with my friends and number three, sleeping, when i have no cash for number 2.) Guess I have a new way of wasting my time, but don’t worry, oh, Survey Provider, I"ll always have time for you.

So, summer’s here! Well, it’s been here for quite a while now, and for the record, this has been the busiest summer of all. I’m not gonna bore you by listing all the places i went (which prolly consists of a beach and a few malls) but hey, at least I’m not stuck at home spending hours in front of the computer, making my first post, talking to myself.. Wait a minute..

Where was I? Oh yeah, summer. I hate lurve it. Whoopdeedo.
